How to apply Deep Learning to your business to make more money
- from the Google Campus in Tel Aviv
Last week, I had a chance to be a speaker at the Google Campus in Tel Aviv, Israel. I shared my knowledge about Deep Learning applications, and the possibilities they bring when they are applied in business. I also led workshops about how to learn complex concepts in Machine Learning in the Google Campus Tel Aviv too.
My first talk was dedicated to all the entrepreneurs curious about the opportunities that Deep Learning creates every single day for them. They truly understand that Deep Learning is an important part of Machine Learning. This concept is not new, since it all started around 70 years ago, in 1943, with the discovery of perceptron, a simple mathematical model of a neural network. It has existed in its current state for about 25 years. Regardless of the historical background, we are living in the most exciting times in the human history, when the potential of Deep Learning is evolving all the time.
Even right now, Deep Learning applications are everywhere - starting from music suggestions on your YouTube channel or on Spotify, products and services recommendations, in translations, helping you get the information you're looking for from devices such as Alexa, Siri or Google Assistant, and even executing some tasks like sending messages to your friends or making phone calls for you. And this is only the beginning, because in the near future every device will learn your expectations and needs. And the amount of data it is going to create is going to be bigger and bigger with time. This will affect the business world because only firms that can leverage huge data assets and extract insights from them will be competitive in the future. I described many case studies across many industries. One thing we can be sure of is that the future belongs to those who can manage data and know how to ask proper questions.
The second talk was to explain some simple techniques on how to boost creativity, effectiveness, learn how to speed up the process of learning and breaking down complex concepts in Machine Learning. The workshops were dedicated for those who want to start their journeys and dive into this wonderful part of science.
